In this way, the production also address the curriculum from Grade 1, as it helps students "demonstrate an understating and appreciation of how identity and self-esteem are enhanced by their sense of belonging in their world." It also helps children to foster an understanding of "how active members in a community contribute to the well-being, growth and vitality of their groups." It investigates what is required to step off the sidelines and engage with other people and their issues. It also teaches them to "value self and others as unique individuals in relation to their world" and to "appreciate how belonging to groups and communities enriches an individual's identity."
