Two children, born of different nations and now lost in a brave new world, will band together in search of their new home, somewhere across the vast lands of a country that would become Canada...
Targeting the Social Studies curriculum from Grades 1-6, this production takes kids on a wild ride to discover the astounding stories of Canada's past. Two children, one from England and the other from France, discover they have a common goal: to find their adoptive parents somewhere in the west. But when the world imposes its scrutiny, they discover that only by working together can they hope to find their way, and convince the world around them that it is our differences that make us truly special. Along the way, we'll visit a fur trader, take a trip in a canoe, meet a friendly railway rider, translate for the Métis, and ride horses with the North West Mounted Police! Your students will learn that Canada's history can be exciting and exhilarating, as they see their textbook come alive in this fun-filled musical production!
