Born of different nations and now lost in a brave new world, two children band together in search of a home, somewhere across the vast lands of a country that would become Canada...
Along the way, they will encounter a fur trader, brave the rapids in a canoe, befriend a railway rider, translate for the Métis, and explore the countryside on horseback with the North West Mounted Police! Only by working together can they hope to find their way, and convince the world that our differences are what make us truly special.
This production features several scenes with French dialogue.
Paired with the Lougheed House School Program:
My Story, Your Story: Cross-Cultural Experiences with Early Calgarians - Grades 4-6
Learn about one family's decision to immigrate to Canada and investigate the multi-cultural Calgary we live in today. This great curriculum-linked interactive workshop incorporates role-play and artifact handling.
Why not combine this fabulous 90-minute program with a performance of The Amazing Adventure of Clara and Jacques, either at your school or at Lougheed House?
